HP-ESXi-5.0-license Readme.txt

A new HP provided vSphere 5.0 license bundle has been made available that corrects an issue with applying  licenses to a VMware host running the HP ESXi 5.0 custom image.    A customer advisory will be made available with greater detail and this readme will be updated with the support link.

The hp-esx-license-1.0-5.zip bundle file located in http://vibsdepot.hp.com/hp-esxi-5.0-license/ should be applied as follows:
  
The steps to download and apply this are:
1. Download the VIB file from http://vibsdepot.hp.com/hp-esxi-5.0-license/  (the vib contained in the bundle zip)
2. Login into the local console on the affected host.
3. Copy the VIB to a temporary location on the affected host.
4. Apply the new license VIB by executing the command “esxcli software vib install –d /<path to file>/hp-esx-license-1.0.5.zip”  Note: The complete path needs to be provided in the command line even if you are in the directory that contains the file
5. Reboot the host
